Tom Brady’s first Super Bowl win was also the first for the New England Patriots. He led the Patriots to a 20-17 victory over the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXVI in 2002. Brady won his first and only Super Bowl in 2004, defeating the Carolina Panthers 32-29 in Super Bowl XXXVIII.

Fourteen years later, the New England Patriots lost 16-0 to the New York Giants with Brady at quarterback. The Giants pulled away with the help of game MVP Eli Manning to win 17-14.

As the NFLs’ most successful quarterback, Brady has won 230 regular-season games and 34 postseason games for a total of 264 wins. Brady is the only NFL quarterback to have won at least 16 regular-season games, which he did in 2007. He is also the only NFC quarterback to have won at least 23.0% of the regular-season game, and his 34 postseason wins are more than any other quarterback. Brady’s 19 seasons as a primary starter have led to seven Super Bowl titles, the most of any player and more than anyone else in an NFL franchise.

In the championship game, the most scoring in NFL history, Brady helped the Patriots to a 13-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. It was his sixth title and, at 41, he became the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl. Brady had one of his worst seasons in 2019, throwing 24 touchdown passes, his lowest season record since 2006.

With the victory, Brady won his fifth Super Bowl and set the record for the most Super Bowl wins by a quarterback in history, tying defensive end Charles Haley for the second-most Super Bowl victories by a player. Brady also set another record with his fourth Super Bowl MVP title. On May 12, 2017, Brady was announced as the cover athlete for Madden NFL 18.
